  • NOTE: 3M strongly recommends fit testing of hearing protectors. Research suggests that many users will receive less noise reduction than indicated by the NRR due to variation in hearing protector fit, fitting skill and motivation of the user. If the NRR is used, 3M recommends that it be reduced by 50% or in accordance with applicable regulations.

3M E A Rfit Dual Ear 1/4 20 to 5/8 27 Speaker Stand Adapter

The 3M E A Rfit Dual Ear 1/4 20 to 5/8 27 Speaker Stand Adapter is a specially designed accessory that allows you to attach the 3M E A Rfit Enclosure Assembly Speaker to a speaker stand. This adapter is compatible with the 3M E A Rfit Dual Ear Validation System, which is a comprehensive solution for employers to ensure that their workers are adequately protected from hazardous noise.

The 3M E A Rfit Dual Ear Validation System is an objective fit testing system that provides a personal attenuation rating (PAR) for each worker. It quickly and accurately measures the effectiveness of the worker's hearing protectors, such as earplugs, banded earplugs, or earmuffs, in blocking out workplace noise. The system administers a test across 7 standard frequencies in just seconds, providing immediate feedback on the level of protection provided by the hearing protectors.

By knowing the personal attenuation rating of each employee, health and safety professionals can make informed decisions to enhance their hearing conservation program. This data allows them to identify areas where additional training or equipment may be needed to ensure the safety and well-being of workers in noisy environments.
